Well,
after our trip to Fuji area, we came back in Tokyo and visited Ueno Park and Zoo and also the Asakusa's Sensoji Shrine. Those place are really awesome, and the animals are really cute ^_^ The panda is the mascott of this area!
After that, we went to Odaiba for a couple of days and I think it s there that we got the most mixed feelings, because many things are really great there: the view of the Rainbow Bridge, all the malls, the real size Gundam statue and most of all, Oedo Monogatari, the onsen.
But there are some drawbacks: it s not cheap to go there and stay there is really expensive, some restaurants also give additionnal charge because of the view...But globally, we really enjoyed our trip there.
We also did the Tokyo Anime Fair! It was fun to see a lots of foreigners like us there and see all these booths about anime
For the last days, the sunday, we visited the Meiji Jingu temple and the Yoyogi park which is fun because there are many artists and people gathering there to enjoy themselves (like rockabily japanese dancers, djembé players and people who like to drink under a full bloom sakura tree) We also went through Harajuku and Shibuya , worldly famous for its crossing
we went to Enoshima/Kamakura one day with the E/K pass of Odakyu. As the weather was nice, we were able to see the mount Fuji from there. It s really a must visit place, because there are a lots of thing to see, the nature, the Daibutsu the shrines...(may be too much temples and shrines at Kamakura, lol) and seeing the sunset on the beach is realy cool!
We also spent a whole day at Akihabara looking all the electronics and manga stuff that is typical of the station. This place is really colorful
The last day we rested a little a our room because we knew that the return might be really tiring.
And it were but as Calvin was nice it was better than we feared....
And we were so happy to see our cherry tree in full bloom!
It was a really tiring trip as we walked so much each day but it was really worth the effort! Japan is really a country that one must see once, I think. All the senses are stimulated there and it s really pleasant (well for me at least ^_^)
